Happy New Year! I know, I'm about 24 days late. My lil' blog has been neglected for a few weeks! But, I'm back...and ready to update you with some of the happenings in room 16! Here is my Five For Friday (on Saturday).
We spent our four day week learning a lot about Martin Luther King Jr.! I had the kiddos think about what some of their dreams and hopes are for their life. Here's what they had to say (grab a tissue).
I was really impressed by the heart-felt dreams of my lil' firsties. So genuine. These are such great reminders of the stress that so many of our students bring to school with them each day.
MLK craft! I love the personal touches each kiddo put on their craft:).
Last week, we were gettin' our "waddle" on learning about penguins! Here's a few snapshots of our penguin unit!
Look at my little penguin experts!
Adorable! You can find this craft, along with my penguin book in my TPT store!
We also started our unit on non-standard measurement! The kids are having so much fun with this. They absolutely love measuring random items around the classroom:).
Ok, I have to share these completely adorable cupcakes that a parent brought to class!
The kids went crazy over these!
Happy Saturday!
