Good morning! Happy Saturday! It's been a while since I've shared the happenings in room 16 with you! I'll be honest, it's been a very busy and challenging couple of weeks! October is such a busy month! I also have a couple of kiddos that are going to make me an even better teacher this year:). If you're a teacher, you understand.
Here is my Five for Friday {on Saturday}!
First up...pumpkin week! I absolutely LOVE pumpkin week! There are so many fun things you can do to integrate math, science, writing, reading, and art! Here is a little snapshot of our pumpkin investigations! We spent the afternoon as scientists; and in groups, the kiddos investigated their pumpkins.
The kids also created these pumpkin lifecycle displays!
And....it wouldn't be pumpkin week without roasted pumpkin seeds! It always surprises me that the kids have never had roasted pumpkin seeds! Of course, I had to bring the seeds from my pumpkin! In case you're wondering, here's my pumpkin that I carved:).
Isn't it cute?:) I'm a little partial to the "old school" pumpkins. I'm not really into the kits with the elaborate designs.
Ok, back to pumpkin seeds.
The kids loved them...and asked for more!
I'm sure you're just dying to know what I dressed up as for Halloween, at school, right?!
...and yes, I went through the drive-thru at Starbucks as Waldo:). Every teacher needs caffeine on a dress up day, the day before Halloween:).
I also dressed up my lil' fur-babies! Aren't they adorable?
Gobble gobble! Our room is starting to look like Thanksgiving! I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving!
This fun lil' craft is a Freebie in my TPT store!
I also created a Wild Turkey {informational text} mini pack that you can find in my store as well!
Wheeewww, I think that was at least five things! Happy Saturday!:)
